Come to our Vision Showcase and Open House!!

Ten young entrepreneurs, six projects, one gift economy and endless possibilities. Emerging Leader Labs (ELL), a social impact incubator is hosting its Vision Showcase event this Saturday, July 27th. Festivities will begin at 1pm with young visionary leaders presenting their budding projects throughout the afternoon. The event will be followed by a community dinner featuring food from local organic farms.

As a social change incubator, Emerging Leader Labs sponsors young visionary leaders in the development, communication and organization of nascent projects that embody/pursue/encompass positive, social or environmental impact. The entire program is an experiment operating purely on social capital instead of financial capital.

Emerging Leader Labs provides workspace, housing, food and local transportation for the eight-week intensive training program. All of these resources are generously offered by the community to support these positive projects and their impact.

“I’m excited about the showcase as an opportunity to give back to the community who has supported our work at the Lab in translating our ideas into action,” explains Tomis Parker, age 25, one of the young entrepreneurs.

Innovative projects such as MetaMaps, a collaborative sense-making visualization tool, and Agile Learning Centers, a new model for the future of education among others, demonstrate this event will be spilling over with visionary solutions that will help to build a better world.

 

Vision Showcase is open to all who are interested in learning more about Emerging Leader Labs and this year’s participants and their projects.
